AND SO THIS IS CHRISTMAS

The latest piece during the holidays, at first glance, appears rather dark.  I lost my mother on Christmas Eve a few years ago. It wasn't so long before that that I lost my father. Much of my work explores my own mortality and my own misgivings of life and death.

BATON ROUGE GALLERY – SURREAL SALON EXHIBITION 8

Baton Rouge Gallery – center for contemporary art will once again host its annual Surreal Salon exhibition beginning January 5 and through January 28. Now in its eighth iteration, the exhibition again highlights the growing quality and popularity of the pop-surrealist / lowbrow movement in American contemporary art.
This time around, more artists than ever before will be a part of Surreal Salon, with the work of 60 artists from 23 different states set to be exhibited.

And I'm one of them.
